I want to make a video based on the votes I get from the video I will link here (if I can figure out how to embed it that would be awesome, but I am not skilled) and I’m hoping that people will also submit topics for me to talk about, actions for me to perform, or phrases and other fun stuff that I will randomly select. It will be kind of like an experiment in improv. We’ll see how that goes…

Here’s some exclusive information for the people that read this… woooo! The prizes are going to consist of two things. The first I have to still decide on, and the second will be a signed picture of me. The pictures I am thinking will be related to the topic that the person submitted. Three people will win, and three people will get different pictures.

I’m really hoping people participate so I can give away the prizes… ha.

Going Nutso

It is 6:08AM on a Saturday morning (at least, I think it is Saturday). My sleep schedule is so disgustingly out-of-wack that I hit the hay around 5PM and wake up at 1AM. It’s awful, it makes doing every day activities hard, and I’m really glad that it’s the weekend and I don’t have anything social planned because… I’d snooze on right through it.

Impulse buy of the week: Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I wasted $60 to play this game. It’s like World of Warcraft, just in the Star Wars Universe. I already have a level 20 Jedi Sage, a level 10 Jedi Sentinel, and a level 10 Bounty Hunter. What does that tell you about my life? It tells you that my life is a storm of meaningless button mashing, and my obsessive, goal-driven behavior is directed at non-productivity. Why couldn’t I be a crazed lunatic when it comes to things that might, say, make me money?

What about school, you ask? To hell with school! I need to continue on my quest to become the most evil, darksidedly persuaded bitch in the whole galaxy. Nay, the Universe.

BUT THE GAME IS DOWN SO I’M UP ALL NIGHT WITH NOTHING TO DO. THANKS BIOWARE. THANKS A LOT.

Sometimes I just don’t feel inspired. For that, I apologize. Some days, I’d rather stay in bed and never see the sunlight. When that occurs on a Monday or Tuesday, right before I have to film/edit/upload… I sincerely, truly, deeply, humongously apologize to anyone that actually cares.

In other news - I have a new addiction! It is just as bad as being addicted to WoW. I just started playing SWTOR and I like it because I love Mass Effect.

I’m trying to think of anything worth talking about.

Oh… here’s a call to arms! Are you a video blogger? Do you dislike the trollish comments and often times mean atmosphere that is prevalent on YouTube? Well, I am a member of a small, vlogging community called Let’s Vlog that is always looking to add members… including you!!!

I was surprised that people actually noticed I didn’t upload a video yesterday, which was Tuesday, which is the day I said I’d be uploading videos. But I was unable to film anything worthwhile because I went to the Chicago area, and it snowed there, so I didn’t really ever leave my grandma’s house to film in actual Chicago.

Then I recalled the SOPA blackout, and that it would be occuring today and I decided that I won’t upload any videos until tomorrow, as my own protest movement. Yes, people of the world, THIS IS WHAT IT WILL BE LIKE IF SOPA PASSES!!! THERE WILL BE NO HOODEDGIRL! I can already imagine the mass chaos that would ensue. A riot of maybe 10, taking to the streets, causing chaos, all because I disappeared from their lives (again) (but this time because of the American government, not because I decided to get a life… and that didn’t work out too well for me, did it?).

I’m done creating run-on sentences! I doubt any of this made sense because I just pulled another really awesome all nighter! That was sarcasm.

Truth behind Mitt Romney Response and my other, long-gone videos

Long time subscribers might remember my response to Mitt Romney in 2007. They may also remember a lot of my old “response videos” which were pretty terrible. Why did I make them? Not because I cared about the messages I was conveying, I’ll tell you that much. I was just trying to find ways to get views, so I made videos I really didn’t care to make.

When I was 16, or however old I was when I made the Mitt Romney Response video, I thought I’d get a bunch of random people to discover my channel. It worked – it got about 4,000 views right away. Great some people subscribed, but a shit ton of people told me I sounded dumb. Understandable, because I’m sure I did. Back then, I’d get an idea in my head, and then film really quick in order to get my video online ASAP! Whereas now, I actually write a script for each vlog (including where I will jump cut…).

This sucked honestly because I was not looking to make response videos where I sounded idiotic, I was trying to get people to watch me. That way I could entertain people the way Brookers did, and ramble about fun stuff and sound idiotic!

Other videos that were made for the same reasons:

A 6 minute long response to TheHill88 about channel descriptions and YouTube errors? I don’t know.
Singing and playing guitar badly in order to put “Mia Rose” in the title.
An entry into a contest where we had to annoy the person the most. I believe I won…
A St Patrick’s Day themed parody of Lonelygirl15. I killed two birds with one stone. Parody the most subscribed-to channel and do it during a time when everyone was uploading St Patty’s Day vids. Please note, I hated watching LG15 videos, so I suffered a lot in trying to research material for that one.
Some random vlog about the concept of saving darfur, because that was really big on YouTube for a while.

If you were around to watch those videos, and then stuck around to see my later videos, you might notice the difference. Eventually, I got over the stupid desire to get views and started making videos for fun!

This will, hopefully, clear my name. I was never trying to spew a 16 year old’s views on political agendas! I was just moochin’ views to attempt to gain subscribers.

I haven’t watched it in years (probably since the day I made it). It’s private on my account and I have since audioswapped it so I’ll never be able to listen to it even if I tried… hehehe.

If I was to make a political video with my true feelings, it would probably be about… gay rights and also, how the Republican party should tone down some of it’s stances on social issues in an attempt to attract younger voters.

Vlog 1: I am starting from scratch…

Hello to everyone (which is pretty much no one, I won’t kid myself, I don’t actually think anyone will read this)!

I am going to be starting a weekly video series of vlogs covering subjects that interest me. However, I am not one to be normal, so the vlogs will be strange, crazy, ridiculous, but hopefully entertaining!

They will be uploaded every Tuesday. I will try to have them uploaded by 7PM EST (ish) so that if any of you care enough to look forward to them, you now have some sort of idea as to when they will be available.
